Pastor Patty
Senior Pastor

I am a 4th generation Florida native.  I was born in Pinellas County, on the West Coast of Florida, but my dad was in the Air Force, so I grew up all over the Eastern United States.  I graduated from the University of South Florida in 1975 and from Duke Divinity School in 1979.  This is my 30th year in the ministry and I have served churches in Titusville, Clearwater, Branford, Tallahassee, Chattahoochee, Hudson and Jupiter.  I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for 30 years.  We met at Duke and crashed two cultures together as Jeff is Pennsylvania Dutch.  Jeff is ordained in the United Church of Christ, but is now disabled due to a neurological disorder and is unable to work.  We have two daughters.  Rachel, 24, is a forensic scientist working at FDLE in Tallahassee.  She and her husband, Bryan, who is a policeman for Capital Police, have just bought their first house.  Cathy, 19, is a sophomore at FAU, and lives on campus during the school year.  Our other three family members include a dog, Klark, and two cats, Bagheera and Whitby.   I love being a pastor.  I enjoy getting to know the church and the individual stories of her members.  I love to read (usually crime dramas), walk, and do counted-cross stitch.  My prayers are with all of you, and I look forward to meeting you.

God bless you,

Pastor Patty

Andy Oliver
Associate Pastor

What a wonderful privilege to serve with the people of New Horizon!

I am a native Floridian, and have lived most of my life on the East coast.  I love South Florida, but also enjoy getting away to the mountains.  My wife is a pastor at Christ UMC in Ft. Lauderdale.  We live in Oakland Park with our dog Scooter.  My parents live in Vero Beach and my sister works in Colorado.

In my free time I am a sports enthusiast, and enjoy seeing movies and playing the occasional video game on my Wii.  My two favorite TV shows are The Office and 24.  I really enjoy learning about other lives, so please come and visit me at the office or join me for lunch.  I am best reached on my cell: 954.547.9797.

In His name,

Pastor Andy

Cathy Williams
"Small Groups" Pastor

My husband and I were members of New Horizon for 17 years before I left to serve in full time ministry in Miami-Dade County.

I received and was affirmed in my call to ministry at New Horizon and my sons were raised at New Horizon.

I am an ordained Deacon and I received a Masters degree in Christian Education from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston, IL. I am originally from Columbus, Ohio.

My passion is helping people connect in fellowship to study the Word of God and grow spiritually as disciples of Jesus Christ. I am also fervent about helping disciples find their spiritual gifts and a place to use them in ministry for the Kingdom. I am extremely happy sharing God's Word with any age group or helping others do the same.

For fun, I like to golf, travel, complete Sudoku puzzles, read, knit and swim.

I am delighted to return to our 'home church', after a rich variety of ministry experiences in Miami-Dade. I am looking forward to the exciting challenges of being the "Small Groups" Pastor.

Paul Kim
Youth Director

Paul was born the son of immigrant parents and spent his childhood and young adult years in the Virginia suburbs of his birthplace, Washington, D.C. He has an older brother and a younger sister. His father is a United Methodist pastor.

Paul grew up in a Korean-speaking church and was raised with Korean customs. He only began to appreciate his culture and heritage when he was in college. His identity was shaped and formed by two different cultures-the one at school and the one at home &church. However, being formed as a Christian, took precedence over both cultures and evening family devotionals were a part of his daily routine.

Paul has completed the coursework for a Master of Theology and has almost finished his thesis at Duke Divinity School. He has extensive experience with youth ministry and is excited to be New Horizon's first full time Youth Director.
